We're so grateful to have you! Hopefully, this portal will serve as your one-stop shop for most of the things you need. If anything's missing, please let Meagen or April know. There's no question or detail too small.

IMPORTANT: This onboarding portal requires a significant amount of reading, reliable wifi access, and a portable computer or smartphone. If you have any concerns related to the material, digital access, or special requests, please let us know. Your confidence and understanding of the material is of a higher priority than streamlining our paperwork.

WHAT ARE YOUR ONBOARDING RESPONSIBILITIES?
  • CHECK YOUR EMAIL. You should have received access to your happy raptor account or alias via the personal email address you provided with your application. This is essentially the key to unlock all the information and login access you'll need throughout your onboarding journey. 
  • SCHEDULE YOUR WELCOME MEETING. If you don't already have a welcome meeting on the books, please contact leadership and we'll get it scheduled!
  • COMPLETE ALL THE STEPS IN THIS PORTAL BEFORE YOUR WELCOME MEETING. Put on a pair of cozy socks and settle in for an array of reading and signing. Go tab by tab below. Be sure to come prepared with any questions in advance - there is a lot to cover in the welcome meeting!
PAPERWORK
​Check your Happy Raptor email or alias for a DocuSign containing all the relevant paperwork below. All paperwork can also be read, downloaded, or printed from the Google Drive here. These documents are for internal use only.

In the welcome packet, you will find:​
  • GENERAL CONTACT INFORMATION FORM. Happy Raptor will never share your personal contact or emergency information without your permission. This information is for internal use by leadership only. Please contact leadership with any changes to your general contact information form. 
  • EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM. In the event of an evacuation or major emergency, Happy Raptor leadership will refer to this document to ensure your safety and wellbeing. The emergency contact form is updated yearly at the start of hurricane season in June. 
  • EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK. Read the handbook and sign the final page. The handbook is updated and re-signed by all employees every year in June.
  • HAPPY RAPTOR MISSION STATEMENT.
  • NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT. All team members are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The NDA applies only to Happy Raptor's strategy, development, and intellectual property.

LOGIN INTO ALL THE THINGS
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
  • If you have a private happy raptor email account, you'll need to login to each of these platforms individually. Keep an eye on your email for user invitations. Make sure you set up your account in LastPass. Leadership will share all relevant passwords with you there.
  • If you operate through an alias, you will access these through tastingroom@happyraptor.com. For login and password information, please check LastPass.
  • REMEMBER: Most of these platforms feature smartphone and desktop apps that provide different capabilities. Please see the tasting room Chromebook or POS tablet for on-site access, should you need it. 

FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS:
  • EMAIL. Please read the communications section of the employee handbook for more information. Depending on your role at Happy Raptor, you may be responsible for monitoring more than one email account. All emails operate through Google. To log into your email, go to www.gmail.com.
    • Company email accounts that you MAY be responsible for monitoring include:
      • You@happyraptor.com - Either a private account or an alias through tastingroom@happyraptor.com
      • tastingroom@happyraptor.com - For tasting room staff and related management
      • hello@happyraptor.com - All team members
      • tours@happyraptor.com - Tour staff and related management
  • LASTPASS. This is our central password manager. You'll be invited via email. LastPass will prompt you to generate a master password that will grant you access to the list of passwords you may need. If anything is missing, contact leadership and we'll add it to your list on LastPass. For team members who operate their email with an alias, you share a LastPass account which can be accessed via tastingroom@happyraptor.com. For the shared master password for tastingroom@happyraptor.com, please check Slack.
  • SLACK. This is an essential tool for our day-to-day operations at Happy Raptor. It operates on your phone and on desktop. You'll be invited via email. Once you login, please prepare to organize the numerous (and sometimes overwhelming) channels into streams. View the post here for some suggestions. Take a moment to read the channel "Important Announcements", "Recipes", and get acquainted with the app. You are encouraged to turn on and off your Slack notifications based on your outside obligations and rest time, but it is your responsibility to ensure you are catching up, responding promptly (based on your status icons), and are consistently up to date.
  • GOOGLE DRIVE. Home base for all documents. See below for a list of important folders and files to get acquainted with. Please keep in mind that all content, logos, and graphics in this drive are the property of Happy Raptor Distilling. They are not to be shared externally without written permission from leadership.

  • HAPPY RAPTOR TEAM PORTAL. Go ahead and hit "back" on this page to explore the general team portal for additional resources and information you'll need as you drive into Happy Raptor team culture and operations.

OTHER PLATFORMS (AS APPLICABLE):
  • HARVEST OR HOMEBASE. You'll likely be using one of these platforms to track your time. Harvest is generally for management. Homebase is generally for tour and tasting room team members. You can access a how-to guide for Harvest here.
  • SCHEDULISTA. This is our central booking platform for tours and cocktail classes. Guests can book tours and cocktail classes directly through the happyraptor.com website. Additionally, all AirBnB tours are noted on Schedulista to avoid double bookings and act as an important scheduling tool for our team. This can be accessed via website (schedulista.com) or app on your phone.
  • AIRBNB. About 60% of Happy Raptor's tour business is generated through AirBnB Experiences. While only managers need access to the platform, it is important to have an understanding of how it works, and how AirBnB integrates with our processes at Happy Raptor. Click the link and have a look at our AirBnB listing to get started.
  • WEEBLY. This is our drag-and-drop website platform. Access is limited to the events and marketing team, as needed.
  • ASANA. We use this platform to manage project and task development. We are currently in the process of expanding its use throughout our operations and integrating it into our threads on Slack.
MEETINGS
​At Happy Raptor, we are much bigger than only the tasting room. We can operate as at least three different businesses at one time according to our permitting alone. This will not be your typical hospitality job. Be prepared for plenty of meetings and the expectations of a professional environment (just more fun). 

MEETINGS BEST PRACTICES:
  • Be on time.
  • Always check the calendar to ensure that you have the time, date, and location correct. They are always subject to change.
  • If you cannot attend or if you're running late, we are understanding. However, it is absolutely required that you let leadership know in advance of the meeting. Don't ghost us.
