Happy Raptor Distilling is all about making memories and supporting our community, so we poured all kinds of heart into our space. Our venue is perfect for work events, small fundraisers, family gatherings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, pre-and post wedding events, baby showers, birthday parties, or just watching the game with friends. There are so many ways to make our space work for you. Schedule a private happy hour, reserve the patio, or rent out the whole space for a night - we're here to help you dream up a unique and memorable shindig.

  • Our entire venue (tasting room and patio) can accommodate a maximum of 116 standing guests indoor and outdoor. Approx. 100 guests is our recommended cap to prevent feeling too crowded.

  • Unfortunately, Louisiana does not permit the sale of wine, beer, or outside spirits in distilleries that also distribute their product (that’s us). We are only allowed to serve the spirits we produce on-site. However, we will happily develop a custom cocktail special for your event at no extra charge, and we provide a robust menu of award-winning cocktails and mocktails. It may be helpful to keep in mind that a single cocktail also includes the same average alcohol content as a beer or a glass of wine.

  • No - but don’t away! Come back! Our two seasons (blazing hot and less hot) are a part of life in New Orleans, and we embrace those Caribbean vibes in our space. We fill the tasting room with fans and coolers year-round (and heaters in the winter), along with misters and shading on the patio. While we pride ourselves on hosting successful events year-round, your comfort is our top priority. We’re more than happy to make recommendations for beating the heat and the best time of year to book.

  • Yes! Happy Raptor is family friendly. We always have non-alcoholic beverages (like soda and lemonade) on hand for the little ones. Children are not allowed behind or sitting at the bar, and they must hold hands with a grown up in the production area. These rules are strictly enforced. Of course, we never serve alcohol to anyone below the age of 21.

  • Unfortunately, pets (except service dogs) are not allowed inside the tasting room but they may hang out at the front near our garage door (when leashed and with their owner, of course).

  • Our space includes a tasting room with 504Rum bar, patio with seating, a production area, and two large gender-neutral restrooms. We also have one large screen tv, a microphone, and a sound system. We will always work to accommodate any specific tech, decor, or A/V needs to the best of our ability.

  • We do not have a kitchen at Happy Raptor. However, outside food is welcome. Potlucks, food trucks, catering, pizza delivery - the choice is yours. Our team is always happy to help recommend the best fit for your unique event.

  • Absolutely! Some add-ons (such as a private tour, cocktail class, or patio bar) do require an added fee to cover our team’s additional time and prep. However, we try to be as creative as possible to help you achieve your event goals within your budget.

  • You can find base pricing in our event brochure here. The venue rental fee is based on the amount of guests in attendance. Bar packages and add-ons are then added to the base fee. We require 18% gratuity up front for all bar packages (excluding cash bar). The venue rental fee is always free for nonprofits. After you submit your event inquiry, our Events & Partnerships Manager will contact you to coordinate a walkthrough of the space, and will be your main point of contact for all event details.   • Let’s do it! We provide simple, casual happy hours for a bar minimum. These events include a patio reservation or table designated just for you in the tasting room, and a cap of 30 guests. Our space is always free for nonprofits. In addition to waiving the venue rental fee, we also offer discounts on all bar packages and cash-back on cash bar sales during your event. In many cases, we’ll extend the fundraiser, put our own box out for your donation drive, or invite ourselves to donate cocktails to your next big gala. Seriously, let us know what you need. Besides distilling gorgeous rum, supporting our community is the most important work we do.
