Happy Raptor is not a bar. We are a family-friendly craft beverage production center and tasting room. Our policies reflect the goal of our tasting room: to connect with community. By entering our tasting room, you agree to abide by Happy Raptor’s legal requirements and policies.

Minors

Happy Raptor is family-friendly, and guests of all ages are most welcome.

Happy Raptor never serves alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. We always request proof of identification from all patrons.

We will refuse service to any patron who cannot produce proper valid identification according to Louisiana law. Valid forms of identification include:

• Driver’s license

• Military identification

• Passport

• LA Wallet is accepted.

Minors are never allowed to sit at the bar. When in the production area, small children must always hold hands or be carried by a grown-up. Minors are never allowed to roam the production area freely.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Happy Raptor will never advertise an alcoholic product to minors.

Guests below the age of 21 are welcome to accompany the tour, but will not be required to pay and will be offered a non-alcoholic beverage.

Drink Service

Happy Raptor does not offer table service. As a tasting room, our focus is to lead tours and tastings of our handcrafted 504Rum. All cocktails must be purchased at the bar by an adult of legal age.

We do not promote binge-drinking in any form. We welcome guests of all backgrounds, with all different relationships with alcohol. It is our priority to make our guests as comfortable as possible, and feature robust mocktail and non-alcoholic beverage options.

We are legally obligated to slow down service and/or refuse service to any patron who looks or acts intoxicated, even if they are “ride-sharing” or have a “designated driver”.

Any instances in which patrons must be cut off from service are maintained in a log, as per our legal requirement.

We do not permit loud, obnoxious, offensive, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior in the tasting room. Guests who display of the above characteristics will be refused service without refund and asked to leave the premises.

Safe Rides

If a guest is too impaired to drive safely, we are happy to arrange for a safe ride (Uber, Lyft, taxi) at the guest’s expense. If a guest has been denied service due to intoxication and refuses safe transportation, on-site management will call the New Orleans Police Department.

If a guest fears they are in an unsafe situation, they should inform a raptor guide immediately for assistance. The raptor guide may be able to assist with securing a safe ride for the guest or contacting the NOPD, if necessary.

Drug-Free Workplace

Happy Raptor is a family-friendly environment. We do not tolerate illicit drug use of any kind by employees or guests. It is a violation of our company policy to possess, sell, trade, or offer illegal drugs for sale in the tasting room or anywhere on our property. Any use, hint, or indication of illicit drug use (ex: cocaine or unprescribed marijuana) will result in the immediate refusal of service without refund. The guest may be asked to leave the premises and NOPD may be notified.

Photo & Video

By entering Happy Raptor Distilling’s tasting room, you accept that any photo or video taken of you on-site may be used in Happy Raptor’s marketing, branding, and digital outreach materials in perpetuity. You relinquish any rights or financial benefits that could be gained from these materials.

While in the tasting room and on the tour, we encourage guests to snap a photo or record video at your leisure. Feel free to post on your social media channels and tag us @504Rum on Facebook and Instagram, or @504happyraptor on TikTok. No more than 5 minutes of total filming is permitted during the tour without prior consent from management. Guests may be asked to cease recording should they exceed 5 minutes of video during any Happy Raptor tour and tasting experience.
